- Lead with results. "Cut report preparation time by 30%" says more than "Responsible for reports".
- Match the job description. Use the same words for skills and tools that the posting uses, so both people and ATS software find them.
- Keep it scannable. Short bullet points, consistent dates (for example, Jun 2022 – Present) and no long paragraphs.
- Leave out what is not asked for. Add date of birth, a photo, marital status or father's name only if the employer or application format requires it.
