- Press Save Task. A dot in the priority colour appears on that day in the calendar.

- Each day, open the Dashboard, tick off finished tasks and watch the completion rate and overdue count.
How the calendar and stats work
Every month is drawn from the real calendar: the grid starts on the weekday the 1st falls on and contains exactly the number of days in that month, including 29 days in February of a leap year. Today is highlighted using your device’s local date, so it changes at your midnight, not at midnight UTC.
The dashboard counts tasks for you. Completion rate = completed tasks ÷ all tasks × 100. A task is overdue when its date is before today and it is not ticked.
Worked example: a two-week Polity sprint
| Dates | Task | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1–6 | Read the core Laxmikanth chapters you planned | High |
| Days 7–10 | Solve Polity PYQs and mark weak topics | High |
| Days 11–13 | Revise weak topics from notes | Medium |
| Day 14 | Full-length Polity mock test | High |
If you add these as 14 daily tasks and finish 11 of them, the completion rate shows 79% (11 ÷ 14 = 0.786), and the 3 unfinished past days show as overdue until you complete or move them.
Planning tips
- Mark fixed dates first: your exam date, mock tests and any form deadlines.
- Leave buffer days. Keep one lighter day a week to catch up on overdue tasks.
- Use priorities honestly. If everything is High, nothing is.
- Move, don’t delete. Edit an overdue task to a new date so the plan stays realistic.
Frequently asked questions
Where does this online calendar save my tasks?
Your tasks are saved in your own browser with local storage, on this device only. There is no account and nothing is uploaded, so clearing browser data or switching devices starts an empty calendar.
How do I add a task to a specific date?
Open the Calendar view and click the date, or press the + button and pick a date. Give the task a title and a priority, then press Save Task; a coloured dot appears on that day.
Does the calendar handle leap years correctly?
Yes. Each month is built from the real number of days in that month, so February shows 29 days in leap years such as 2028 and 28 days otherwise. Weeks always start on Sunday.
Can I see several months at once?
Yes. Use the 1M, 3M, 6M and 1Y buttons in the Calendar view. 3M and 6M start from the selected month and run into the next year if needed, while 1Y shows January to December of the selected year.
Does this study calendar send reminders?
No. It does not send notifications or emails. Open the dashboard each morning to see what is due today and what is overdue, which are shown in red.
How should I plan UPSC preparation on a calendar?
Work backwards from your exam date: mark the exam, then block revision weeks and mock tests before it, and fill the remaining days with subject targets. Keep each task small enough to finish in one day.
